Cage Fighting

Kevin and I have been fans of mixed martial arts cage fighting for a while, but we never thought we could watch it live in our living room! There have been some pretty good fights over toys already. I will have to get some video of it. Our living room has been taken over by a large superyard (this is what you would see when you walk in our front door). The triplets have pretty much taken over most of the first floor. The basement is still Daddy's playroom...for now.

I'm gonna break outta here!

A day at the pool

We took the triplets swimming for the first time on Saturday! A friend of ours invited us over with the kiddos for a swim and it was a beautiful day. Sunny, mid 80s. We weren't sure how Kelen, Ella, and Cory would react to the water, especially since it was a little cool - 82 degrees (Their bathwater is usually around 95 degrees). But we all ended up having a blast! They seemed to really enjoy the water and being outside. So did mom and dad!

A busy week

We had to make two trips to Children's Hospital this week. Tuesday was their eye checkup and today was another NICU followup appointment. These appointments always take longer than you think they would and it gets the kids all off schedule on their naps - which translates to FUSSY BABIES! And thus, a tired and fussy mommy too. Both checkups were good news though! The eye appointment was to check for any problems as a result of them being so premature. All of them are slightly farsighted, but that is not uncommon with babies their age. Ella is a little more farsighted than the boys, but no action needed now. We will followup in a year. The NICU follow up doctors thought that all of the kiddos are doing outstanding! They are growing well physically and developmentally. Another followup in 5 months to test their development. No more appointments for a few months! Here are their 10 month weights and lengths:

Kelen: 17.5 lbs, 26 inches

Ella: 15.1 lbs, 25.4 inches

Cory: 17.1 lbs, 27 inches

Miss Smarty Pants

Well, well, well...look who can hold their own bottle! Ella may not be able to crawl or sit like the boys, but she can hold her bottle now. She has always been the most serious about food. She will eat until she pops. In the NICU she would continue to eat until her little bitty belly was completely full and it would start coming back up!

Teeth: Round 2

So Cory was the first one to get teeth - about a month ago. He was soooo fussy for the few weeks before they broke through and once they came in, he was a new man! He was much happier, which was great for the rest of us. I was hoping that was the worst of it, but I was wrong....I can see 2 more teeth under the gums and man is he telling the world about it. So fussy, with something in his mouth all day long. Poor little guy. Do you think I can overdose him on tylenol? Just kidding. Kelen and Ella chew on everything, but no sign of teeth yet. I am praying that they handle it a little better.
