Snacktime!

I have started giving the kids snacks before their naptime, since we are on one nap a day now. I bought the snack trap for them and it is a lifesaver. Great invention. Some cheerios still end up on the floor, but not many considering what it would be like with open cups. Ella always finishes first (in like half the time of the boys) and then follows Kelen and Cory around either trying to steal their cups or picking up the cheerios they drop. Here are a few pics I was able to get without them trying to run up and touch the camera.

18 month checkup and lots-o-pics

We took the kids to the pediatrician for their 18 month checkup a couple of weeks ago and I was really hoping that they had all gained weight. And boy did they! Everyone gained at least 2 pounds! Yeah! Which means Ella is over 20 lbs now, so we can turn her carseat around. They are all in the 15th percentile for weight and 10th for height. Here are the stats:

Kelen: 21.6 lbs, 30.8 in

Ella: 21 lbs, 30.2 in

Cory: 22 lbs, 31 in (I think this is probably more like 32 or 33 in)

We also had the kiddos evaluated again by the IL early intervention program since we suspected a speech delay. They are right on target with their gross motor and cognitive skills, but about 50% delayed in speech. So we qualified for the program and will start speech therapy in about a week. It is a play based therapy and I think they will really enjoy it. Here are some pictures from the last few months.

Homemade Ball Pit

Everyone kept telling me how much their kids loved ball pits........so we decided to make our own (thanks to my parents). They bought an inflatable swimming pool and then we just added the balls. Much cheaper than buying a "real" ball pit. And sure enough the kids do love it. I need to get some more balls though. I am not sure why it is so fun, but if they are happy, I am happy too!

Easter 2009

Here is the best I could do to get a pic of the triplets in their Easter outfits. It was a little cool outside, but the porch is the only place I can set them together and they stay put long enough for me to snap a few shots.
