Monkey See, Monkey Do!

Can you believe the triplets are TWO! I know I can't! Two years ago today three tiny babies entered this world 3 months too soon. Kevin and I were scared to death that they might not survive... well, here we are 2 years later and they are 3 of the most healthy, energetic, lovable two year olds I know. We know how lucky we are and we are so thankful! Many days I sit back and watch them run around and play and laugh and I think to my self, "Wow, I really have three kids!" It is so amazing to see them interact and grow up together at the exact same age. What a blessed (and very proud) momma I am!

We had a small monkey themed party for them last Saturday. I think everyone had a blast. The triplets really seemed to enjoy having people around to play with and Cory loved opening ALL the gifts! Thank you everyone for coming to celebrate with us and for all the wonderful presents! I am saving a few to bring out over the next few months.

Cute decorations courtesy of Kevin and Chris!
Monkeys, monkeys everywhere!
Love this pic! Thanks Chris!
The cupcake toppers I made. Yummy banana cupcakes with cream cheese icing to go with the monkey theme. And yes, I made them myself! Go me!
Hanging with Dad.

Bright eyed after naptime and ready to party!

The gift opening pro.

Testing out the new baby stroller.

A great shot of the shirts I had made by Green Valley Kids on etsy. I just LOVED them!

The balloons were a big hit! Look at the pure joy on Kelen's face!
Making quick work of those cupcakes.

Mmmm, yummy icing!
Shoving it in!
Oh no! All gone.
I also have alot of video, but I will add that to another post later.

A few funny pics

These pictures bring a smile to my face, so I thought I would share. A playdate friend of ours gave us some pink rainboots for Ella to borrow since her daughter outgrew them. Well...Kelen thinks they are the coolest thing ever. He loves to stomp around in them and apparently they make riding the rocking dino more fun!
Who do you think eats more, the kids or Porter? He hovers around the kids during meal time knowing he will probably score some good stuff. And he usually does!

Cash for Clunkers

Well, we traded in our old clunkers for some new rides!

What a ladies man!

Cory thinks everything is his and his only.

More Summer Fun

We got the pool out again and the kids liked it alot better this time! Here are a few pics I was able to get.

The Summer Bug

Well, we survived our second sickness here in triplet land. I am so grateful since it has been almost 2 years with only a couple of mild colds. A few weeks ago Cory started acting really pitiful and crying non stop all day. He had a mild fever for about a day. I got him in to the pediatrician a few days later to find out it was a viral sore throat. He didn't want to eat or drink anything - understandably. I finally got him to drink some juice before we had to make a trip to the ER for dehydration. His personality makes it really tough when he is sick. He cries all the time and holding him doesn't help at all. He just squirms all over the place. He is not a cuddler at all! The next day he started feeling better, just as Kelen and Ella starting getting a fever. Oh no...but fortunately they never really acted that sick, or as sick as Cory anyway. Kevin took a day of vacation to help me out. Let me just say, taking care of triplets is NOTHING compared to taking care of sick triplets! I was worn out! My parents came up to help a few days later, thank goodness! And wouldn't you know it, the day they left I got a fever with aches and pains and the sore throat. Ugh! What timing! Anyway, as far as sickness goes I should be thankful at how mild this was - no puking, diarrhea, waking up at night. I know I will have to experience it eventually, but I am really dreading it.

Here is a really sweet picture. This is what I found when I got home from taking Cory to the doctor. Sherry and her girls were nice enough to run over last minute to watch Kelen and Ella for me. The girls love holding the "babies". And Kelen and Ella were starting to feel a little sick and they were overdue for naps, so this is the result. Too cute! Thanks Sophie and Sarah!

Too Cute for Words

Ella is such a cutie and she loves to play it up for the camera. She was just too cute in this dress with her hair clip (yes, we finally have enough hair for some accessories!). Ok, ok, so the boys are cute too, so I have a pic of each of them too.

I just had to throw in this pic of Cory before we cut all his hair off. It is hard to catch him smiling for the camera. Doesn't he look like a little surfer dude?

We are growing up!

I think the one thing I have dreaded more than potty training is letting the kids learn to feed themselves with utensils. But I can't put it off any longer so here goes. I can tell it is going to take some time. Here is the first try.
